OBITUARY
Tsehay Tesfu Derso
October 23, 1923 – January 19, 2023

Mrs. Tsehainesh Tesfu was born on October 23, 1923 (Ethiopian Calendar) from her late father Kignazmach Tesfu Derso, and her late Mother, Mrs. Yagibush W. Yohanes, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. While growing up with tender care and love at her parent’s home, her loving mother suddenly passed away. Fortunately, her older sister, Mrs. Getenesh George, took her in to raise her until she was old enough to get married. Mrs. Tsehainesh Tesfu is survived by her two sons and a daughter. In 1985 (western calendar), she migrated to the USA to help raise her five grandchildren, her Goddaughter Saba, the apple of her eye, and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Tsehainesh Tesfu, while she was alive, had a strong spirit and passion for discussing her loving country. She enjoys spending her time inviting and dining with her loved ones. She never ceased to ask people about news in Ethiopia and in what condition Ethiopia today was in her day-to-day conversations. People go through good and bad times no matter how long they live; Mrs. Tsehainesh, in her pain, never complained but was grateful to the Lord for his blessings in her life. Mrs. Tsehainesh’s legacy will be remembered for her generosity, in good times or sad. She will be missed and leaves behind a beautiful legacy.
