Wade Patrick Martin

Wade Patrick Martin, 66, of Buford Georgia passed away December 20th 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (Braselton). Wade was born November 6th, 1957 in Fort Worth TX to Martha Belle “Marty” Martin and John Earl “Jim” Martin and raised in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He was the fourth child born to the couple and he deeply respected and loved both of his parents. Wade is preceded in death by his brother John H Martin, father Jim Martin and his mother Martha Martin.

Wade was a loving and loyal father to his children, Scarlett “Poot” D. Martin Spears & Travis “T-Man” Wade Martin. He was always there for them in their time of need, a provider, a safe haven from the world and a reliable source of wisdom. Wade proudly married Wanda Jean Martin on January 3rd 2003 and would have celebrated 21 years of marriage this January. Wade was a step father to Jennifer Morrison and Phillip Morrison. Known as “Pop” to his grandchildren Preston and Aubree Spears as well as Cameron Morrison and Mia Morrison. Wade leaves behind a brother, James “Jimmy” Martin and his wife Barbara Curl, sisters Martha A. Martin Kennedy and Maureen F Denham and her husband Jimmy Denham, nieces Farell King, Mattie Rose Kennedy, Karlene Kennedy, Emily Kennedy and Gianna Dominguez and son in-law, Marcanthony Spears.

Wade was an avid football lover, proudly wearing his #84 jersey and faithfully cheering on his Dallas Cowboy and Notre Dame. He relished in his Irish heritage, he was no stranger to hard work and celebrated good times. He was a tough guy with a soft heart and lived larger than life. He will be greatly missed by family and friends that have adored him for many years. Friends from his teens, semi- pro football, his career at UPS, and his community in Buford. May we all keep Wade close to our hearts for the remainder of our own journey. The family will receive visitors on Saturday 12/30/23 at his daughter’s home in Lawrenceville, Ga between 1-3pm.
