Wilford Wrightson III

Our beloved Wilford Downs Wrightson III of Tucker GA passed away unexpectedly at the age of 79 on December 9th. He is survived by wife of 57 years Linda, daughters Kara and Kristi with their spouses Sean and Michael as well 2 granddaughters, 3 step granddaughters and 3 step great grandchildren. Will grew up as a boy scout in Maryland, went into ROTC and eventually entered the Army after college as a second lieutenant, served in Vietnam, receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Medals then after 24 years of service retired as Colonel. He loved all sports, played football in college and even refereed basketball for many years. Wilford worked as a marketing manager with Container Corporation of America then started his own business, Packaging and Design, in 1987 and was still working part time when he passed. He was very active in church, teaching Sunday school for many years and playing handbells for over 20 years. Dad, Pop or Will (as he signed his famous emails) were the names his family called him and he adored having all family around. He was deeply loved and will be missed greatly.

A funeral service for Wilford will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084, followed by a reception from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
