Dixie and family,it was only this past Sunday that Angie and I were talking about the McClures.  She has many fond memories of time spent with your family.  May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.  You are in my prayers.

His voice was strong and sometimes stern--but I always knew how much he loved me. I cherish the beautiful turned bowl he made and all the great memories I have. It's hard for me to find words to express my heartfelt sadness at his passing but also the peace I have knowing that he is in no pain and he lived a great life. Y'all have to give Aunt Dixie a big hug from me and my family--my love to everyone in this difficult time.

Dixie and family, Charlie and I are so saddened to hear that Jon has passed on.  Colleen just let us know and had learned of the sad news from Kelly, I think.  Wish we could be with you at this time and hug all of you.  Dixie, I am sitting here looking around and seeing so many special mementos we have from John, a shelf he made for my cabinet, the frames for Charlie's stained glass, the bowls he made for us, the bank, and most precious of all, the little rocking chair and hobby horse he made years ago. They have always meant so much to us and now will be even more precious because he lives through them for us.  How special he was and how we enjoyed living close to you all for 28 years.  Wonderful, lovely memories we will cherish for ever.  I know you will have all your loved ones around you and they will give you great comfort.  After Christmas, I will call you and we can share so many lovely moments together.  God bless you and your family, We love you.  Shelby and Charlie

I have so many wonderful memories of Jon from our teenage years.  He was a faithful father and husband.  And of course he later became a fantastic grandfather.  Sending love and prayers to all of the McClure clan at this most difficult time.

My Dad.  He did his best.  Life is much too short. Words are inadequate,to quote one of my friends.  If everyone were like he was, our world would be a better place.

   Jon was a GOOD man, husband, father, brother.  He took care of us all--his children, daddy, mother, grandfather Papa, sister and more.
   No Thanksgiving passes without my memory of his climbing the pecan tree to shack the limbs for the pecans to fall to the ground.  
   He knew Christ Jesus and practiced His teaching.
