Albert Earl Zoeller “Earl”, 74, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021, after a courageous battle with gallbladder complications and liver disease. Earl was born December 27, 1946 in Oklahoma City, OK. He spent most of his childhood in Montana. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert B. and Gertrude “Earline” Zoeller. Earl is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marilyn Siebenaler Zoeller. His four daughters: Nancy Zoeller, Wendy Zoeller Raymond (Bryant), Angela Turpening, and Gina Turpening Kerr (Josh), four grandchildren: Aleister Kerr, Ryan Raymond, Lily Kerr, and Connor Kerr. His sister: Carolyn Harris Warren (Edward).
Earl was proud to serve his country in the Air Force. He was stationed at Davis Monthan Air Force Base from 1965-1969, and achieved the rank of Sergeant. He stayed in Tucson and received a bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, from the University of Arizona (June 1969-May 1974). In his over 40-year career in Electrical Estimating, he saw Tucson grow through the many construction jobs, and commercial building projects he was a part of. He retired on April 1, 2014 from Sturgeon Electric. Earl enjoyed traveling and was able to go on many memorable trips. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Earl had many hobbies, the most notable one being, he researched and taught himself how to facet gemstones. In his first year of faceting, he was awarded the permanent rank of Certified Supreme Master Gem Cutter. The gemstones he cut and the jewelry he fashioned were intricate and beautiful. Earl enjoyed sharing the knowledge he gained and taught classes once a week, for over 25 years at Old Pueblo Lapidary Club. He was very involved with the Tucson Annual Gem and Mineral Show. From a young age, he was an avid hunter, archer and marksman. He won several awards, for this in High School and in his early life. He had a great passion of learning, enjoyed taking pictures of flowers, wildlife, and nature. He was a voracious reader, since retirement he read over 500 books. Because he enjoyed seeing people smile, he loved to tease with his great sense of humor.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday June 22, 2021 at 11:00am at East Lawn Mortuary 5801 E. Grant Road, Tucson, Arizona, 85712. Graveside and reception to follow funeral.
