Alfred B Levy

Alfred “Al” B. Levy, passed away peacefully with family members by his side on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 79, just 12 days before his 80th birthday. He was born on August 30, 1946, in Tucson, Arizona to Leonard & Mary Levy, the third of the five 5 Levy brothers. Alfred is survived by his two daughters, Corrine and Lory, son-in-law Craig Cannizzaro, his five grandchildren-Cadie, Christie and Jonathan Curry and Niyah and Kyler Cannizzaro, nieces, Leslie, Brenda and his nephews Eddie and Frankie.

Alfred is the 3rd generation native Tucsonan. He attended and graduated from Tucson High School in 1964, joined the Army National Guard that summer and was Honorably discharged in 1968. Alfred met his wife Corina through a friend. They married on November 26, 1966, and remained married for 48 years until Corina was called home on November 28, 2014.

Alfred was employed by Duval Mines for 18 years where a co-worker shared the gospel with him and after putting up a fight, he surrendered, repented and gave his life to Christ. He then was a devout born-again Christian, attended Seminary School, was a spiritual leader, a “Peter”. He and Corina led so many to Christ together with their individual gifts in ministering and evangelizing. They shared a passion for teaching, watering and nurturing new converts.

Following his career at the mines, Alfred transitioned careers to work at Raytheon where he retired in 2006, after working there for approximately 23 years. Following his retirement, he devoted all his time to care for and meet Corina’s needs during her battle with cancer beginning in 2010 until her call to Heaven in 2014.

He enjoyed hands on work such as building, remodeling, welding, auto mechanics and electric work. His mind was always racing, thinking of new projects to do and how he could improve and remodel our homes. As much as he loved getting his hands dirty, his home was his castle where he wanted to be most of all sitting back, relaxing, watching TV with munchies and a Coke in hand.

He was a generous, joyful giver, always lending a hand, his labor, a car, his home. He was exceedingly generous with his resources, gave to those in need often in secret, not taking any credit but giving all credit to the Lord. He treated anyone who came to his home as family, providing them with a meal even to those hired to do work for him.

Above all, the most important thing in Alfred’s life was family-sharing a meal, a laugh, a story, leading his shoulder to cry on, advice giving solicited and unsolicited, taking his family on vacations, doing birthdays and holidays together. To his daughters, he was a steady source of support—a father who wanted to make life a little easier, who was there when needed, and whose love was expressed through both his words and his actions. To his grandchildren, he was a grandpa whose generosity knew no limits, whose time was freely given, and whose love made them feel deeply cared for. He taught his family, not through grand speeches, but through the example of a life spent giving. His greatest wealth was never what he possessed—it was the love he poured into his wife, his daughters, and his grandchildren.

His legacy lives in the family he loved so fiercely. It lives in the meals shared, the sacrifices made, the help given without hesitation, and the memories created through a lifetime of putting others before himself. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those he gave so much to.

A Funeral Service will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712, US, on August 29, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.

A Committal Service will take place at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712, US, on August 29, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am.

A reception will follow back in the mortuary chapel from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
