Amy called it a draw with pancreatic cancer on Monday, November 1, 2021; it did not defeat her. Rumors will persist that later that day she joined a Día de los Muertos parade. Amy was preceded in death by parents Roy and Anita and by her precious dogs Zeus, Sasha, Buddy, Cheetah and Mickey.
Amy was born July 6, 1959, in Champaign, Illinois and lived around the world before settling in Tucson in 1969. She is a 1977 graduate of Rincon High School and a 1981 graduate of Pacific Lutheran University. After college Amy worked for Big Brothers & Big Sisters and First Investors before joining Mark Jarecki to create A&M Desert Financial Services in 2003. Amy was dedicated to her successful career, but she also thoughtfully cultivated her friendships and actively pursued interests like swimming, dog agility, therapy dog service, biking, yoga, scuba diving and travel.
