ANGEL MANUEL ALVIRA, Sr. age 88, peacefully passed away on December 25, 2016 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born on June 1, 1928 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Angel served 22 years in the United States Air Force and retired as a TSGT in 1974. Angel began a second career with Pima County Government, and retired in 1990. Angel’s joys in life were Latin music, musical instruments, salsa dancing, boxing and making others laugh. He was married to Carmen Alvira for 58 years, until her passing in 2009. Angel is survived by his sons Angelo, Luis (Amado), Eddie (Julian), and Ruben, as well as his daughter Beverly. Surviving daughter in-laws include Lisa, Diane, Julie, and grandchildren Amber, Aimee, and Alex.
