She met and married the late William Matthews who preceded her in death in 2013, to that union were 3 daughters.
In the early 60’s she attended Pentecostal Light House Church under the leadership of Elder & Sister McVay. She was a faithful member until the Church closed.
She then became a member of Apostolic Morning Light Church under the leadership of the late District Elder Erven Govan until his death in 1995.
She leaves to cherish her memory 3 daughter’s: Sharon Grigby, Sherrill (Jerry) Roberson and Linda Matthews
2 sister’s: Mary Jane Armstrong and Lois Jean Pierson
4 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren and a host of Nieces and Nephews
She is preceded in death by her husband William Matthews, her Parents Charles & Elizabeth Thompson,
1 sister Georgia N Flye,
2 brother’s Charles Thompson Jr and Everett Thompson
We will forever miss our Mother, Grandmother, Mentor and Sister in Christ. But we know that she is in a better place with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
