Dear Family: Tony was such a good friend to my mother and father, Lee and Olive Parker. I just googled Tony today as I haven't spoken with him for over a year. Was saddened to end up here on his obituary page. He was a kind and generous man who always had a great story and gentle good humor. I'm thankful to have known him. Joyce and I (Morris Price, Retired AF MSgt are deeply sadden to this information.  I spoke with Van in September 2015 at 8:00 a.m. Mountain Time.  I were unable to hear all the conversation; however I did determine that something was greatly wrong.  I requested Joyce to call Van back; and she did not receive a call; and left a message.  Van and I dates back to February 1967 at Torrejon Air Base Spain when our paths intersected; and because of him and his interaction with me; my Air Force Career was saved and turned into a whole different experience.  I am so deeply sorry in our condolences to a great caring and wonderful person.  Van will be forever remembered by us and our children.  Thanks be to GOD for such a wonderful person.
