Art and I grew up in Nogales, had many friends and acquaintances in common, went through the same school system and were even terrified of the same teacher (Mrs. Kaiser! may she rest in peace). I will miss his deep, booming, greeting at the courthouse, always with his trademark quips and smile.

I am very sorry for your loss. I met Art while working at the Federal Courthouse and had the extreme pleasure of spending time with him. I felt a connection with him because I live in Santa Cruz County and knew he was born here and worked here. I will miss him dearly but feel blessed that I got to know him. I had the pleasure of working with Art at the Federal Courthouse.  I saw him almost every day since he was generally assigned to the entrance where I came in to work.  He always greeted me with a cheerful hello, and he brightened the start of my day with his humorous comments.  I miss seeing him and the banter and laughs we shared, but I feel blessed to have known him.  

My deepest sympathy to Art's family.  He was a wonderful person.

Mark and Linda, I am so sorry for your loss.  Mark, I didn't have the pleasure of knowing your father, but I can get the sense of what a wonderful person he must have been, through knowing you. My thoughts are with you and your family through this difficult time.
