Arturo C. Figueroa peacefully went to sleep on January 8th, 2016 and woke up in heaven in the arms of his loving savior, Jesus Christ. Arturo (Tuti) was born in Alto, Arizona on March 1, 1927 to Francisco and Pastora Figueroa. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, eight brothers and his beloved wife Nila Figueroa. He is survived by his son John (Heidi) Figueroa, daughter Audrey (Abelardo) Rodriguez, grandsons Abelardo (Susanna) Rodriguez, Johnny (Mary) Rodriguez, John Figueroa Jr., granddaughters Patsy (Kenny) Garcia, Varonica Stanger, Selina (Javier) Talamante and 18 great grandchildren. He is has many beloved nephews and nieces he leaves behind.
Arturo was a World War II veteran and received the World War II Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal and Army of Occupation Medal. He worked most of his career as an electri shovel operator. He worked at Joy Core Drilling and later Duval Mine which he retired from.
Art will be greatly missed.
