Austin was a profoundly beautiful human being with a brilliant mind and a big heart. He was the caring and devoted son of Lisa Robinson (Egel), Eric Robinson, and Mark Lockett; the protective and loving older brother of Kamrin Robinson and Eric Robinson Jr., and brother-in-law of Michael Udorvich. He was the beloved grandson of Maria Egel and the late Lawrence Egel, and of Sally Robinson and the late Henry “Bud” Robinson, and the cherished nephew of Barbara Egel, Julie Anderson (Robinson), and Michael Robinson, and an adored cousin to many.
Austin was a seeker of truth, morality, and expression. He was driven to take on life’s challenges to experience, to learn, and to share through his music, writing, and filmmaking. Austin was a gifted storyteller with a sly sense of humor who could be relied on for the unexpected observation to crack up his sister, Kamrin, and cousin, Elyssa. Those who knew him were blessed by his love, humor, imagination, brilliance, kindness, curiosity, and the beauty of his soul.
Austin was not only an amazing artist, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, partner, and friend; he was an outstanding scholar. The world acknowledged his leadership and academic merit starting in high school, when he was elected senator at The American Legion Boys State and was a member of the National Honor Society. Later, he was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and attended the W. A. Franke Honors College at the University of Arizona.
The space left by his passing can never be filled. His humor, heart, and humility live on in those who love him. God bless Austin Andrew.
