Barbara Ann Ramsay

Barbara Ann Ramsay, 76, of Tucson, AZ, passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2023 following surgery for a broken hip. After graduating from Catalina High School in 1964, she went on to Cosmetology school.

In 1965, she married the love of her life and they celebrated 53 years together before his death in 2018.

Barbara was a talented artist and excelled at sewing, crocheting, knitting and many arts and craft projects. She enjoyed visiting with friends and kept in touch with fellow Catalina High School alumni, many of which also attended Doolen Junior High School and even Davidson Elementary School together. Above all else, she was a loving wife and mother of three. We will miss her with all our hearts.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Alvin and Laura Cain, husband, Dennis Ramsay, sister-in-law Linda Carter and granddaughter Valissa Schmid. She is survived by her brothers, John E. Carter and Jim Cain (Laurie), her children, Reina Schmid (Steve), Rychelle Yartz (Paul), Ryan Ramsay (Dezeri Marsh), her grandchildren, Ashley Ramsay, Brandon Schmid (Caitlyn), Hayleigh Witte (Mark), Kaytie Mora, and her great-grandchildren, Delanie Bail, Lincoln Bail and Daxton Schmid and many extended family members.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to The American Diabetes Foundation or American Heart Association would be greatly appreciated. There will be a funeral service on Monday, February, 20, 2023 at East Lawn Palms Mortuary and Cemetery located at 5801 E. Grant Road.
