Barry Auburn Sanders passed away after a brief illness on July 30, 2016. He was a long-time Tucson native, having moved to Tucson from Southfield Michigan in 1974. He was a graduate of Sabino High School, attended Texas Tech University, and got his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona. He worked as a free-lance computer engineer/programmer since his graduation, and developed a reputation as someone who could solve any computer issue. Never married, he developed a strong devotion to his dogs, walking them almost every day and taking them to the dog park. He enjoyed table top games with friends in town, and would spend hours playing on-line computer games with his nephew Kevin. He is survived by his brother Terry, sister-in-law Patricia, nephews Kevin, Michael and Sean, and his niece Tara. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a pet rescue shelter would be appreciated.
