One of the finest officers I ever met. I remember the days, the days at the EAATS, the O club. The Colonel who defended his troops, even at times when we were a little out of control. He would rein us in. He knew...he protected us and we honored and respected him for that. He proved himself countless times throughout his career. His last selfless act was to protect his fellow citizens when he rushed a gunman in Casas Adobes, Arizona. His efforts may have saved many more lives. That was our Colonel...he will be missed.

We will always remember "Colonel B" as a good friend and a kind and caring man.  His quiet demeanor and ever-present smile brought a sense of comfort to all who knew him.  He inspired many in his lifetime and made the world a better place.  He will be missed but not forgotten.  Our love and condolences go out to Bill's family during this difficult time.

The Malloy family was so sad to hear of Bill's passing. My mom, Bill's double-cousin, Marilyn Badger, loved him so much, and my dad, Dean Malloy, always talks about how much fun he had hunting in South Dakota with Bill when they were young. I felt fortunate that my husband, children, and I could get to know Bill and learn about his bravery. I was so proud to say he was a relative of mine. He will be so greatly missed.

"the Colonel" and his wife live just down the block from us; he was a terrific neighbor . When I was recovering from back surgery, in the early days of walking with my "turtle shell", part of my walk took me past their house and behind it along the wash - if he was in the back yard,as most mornings he was, he would come out to the fence and give me a "thumbs up" and an encouraging word. He will be missed by many. A real hero indeed.

A man of few words but boy did he get great results. A good friend. The best boss I ever had and an absolute pleasure to be around. I was privileged to be sally and Bills chauffeur when they were married. What a fine occasion. I have thought of Bill often and the days he commanded the EAATS.  Bill was the best commander I worked for in all of my service. God rest his soul and may he bring strength to Sally in  this trying time.

Bill was my mentor, my inspiration, my commander, my friend.  It's hard to believe he is now gone after a 30+ year friendship.  The world is a sadder place without him.  Sally and Christian will always be in my prayers.

Colonel Bill Badger was an absolute delight to work for.
His often stated outlook that EAATS doesn't have challenges; EAATS only has opportunities to excel. has stayed with many of us over the years.

When our families met I remember my Dad calling your Colonel.  You said No, I'm just Bill. My daughter, Harley, was blessed to call you Uncle Bill.  You led by example in the military, at the mass shooting incident, in your community but most importantly in your family.  You were loved by many & will be missed by many.

We were EAATS members under COL B's command and can honestly say that they didn't come better. This was a humble man who interacted with his people, who listened to them, who cared about them as more than subordinates. There didn't seem to be the same sense of cohesiveness after he left, and things were definitely not as much fun!  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. May God give you strength and peace and may your memories bring you comfort.

Col Badger, a true American hero and leader in very sense of the word.  He was the first and best EAATS commander!  It was an honor to serve under Col "Bill". He will be missed!

COL Bill, As the first Commander, when the EAATS was established in the early 80s, you are remembered as the best man for the job. Under your leadership, we worked hard, we played hard, we were a family.

Col Bill.  We will all will miss you as our military leader, role model, hero, and especially your personal friendship. Our prayers are with your family.

We love you Bill. And are thankful for the wonderful memories we have of your friendship.  God bless and rest in peace.
