Between life and death, there is a span of time that we travel and only God knows how long that journey will be. When it ends and life comes to a close, God has summoned the soul of Billie Jean Thomas, from the toils of this life to rest in His eternal embrace. Even though it saddens our heart, our God knows best. Volumes could be written about Mrs. Billie Jean Thomas and the love she had for her family and the people whose lives she touched. Now she has reached the end of her journey, her book has been finished, when she closed her eyes and laid down to rest until she was called by her master.
Be it Resolved, that we bow in humble submission to Him who never makes a mistake and remind the family to be encouraged by remembering this, "that the family weep not as those who have no hope, but remember that you must follow on, during the will of the Heavenly Father, just know that earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal."
To the family, we know your loss is deep and your sorrow is great, but we want you to know that we share in your sorrow, it is a privilege, though a sad one, to extend these words of comfort to the Thomas family. We pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort you during this hour of loss, but more importantly, we recognize that this loss is Heaven's gain. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4
No matter what your trials are, or how big your mountain seems;
The Lord is there to see you through; He'll go to all extremes,
So if your cross seems hard to bear; and you know not what to do;
The One who loves you most of all will be there to see you through.
