HAMMACK, Homer "Bud" beloved family man and owner of Bud's Garage, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 11, 2016. A genuine, hard-working and loving soul, he is survived by his wife, Hatsuko; two daughters, Teri and Deborah; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Homer Eugene Hammack was born in Madison, West Virginia on October 13, 1937. He moved to Tucson, Arizona as a child and would call it home for the rest of his life. In his 78 years, he served four in the Navy, married Barbara Talbert, and raised two beautiful daughters. He worked as an auto mechanic alongside his father, and eventually his own daughter, Debbie, at Bud's Garage. In his final years, he continued to work nine hour days at his shop where he thoroughly enjoyed his customers and time with family (especially his newest great-granddaughter, Lilly). A central figure in the lives of his family, we are grateful for all the happy years we enjoyed with him. We are comforted knowing he is in a better place, and believe he is both enjoying the company of his parents and watching over us. Services will be held at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL, 7 E. University. Wake on Friday, May 20, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m., and Funeral Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. The burial will be at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S. Park Avenue, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 12:30 p.m.
