Carmello Frank Geraci

Passed away on July 24, 2020

Carmello Frank Geraci, 90, passed away July 24, 2020 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born February 24, 1930 in Reading, Ohio to Michael Geraci and Laura (Palmisano) Geraci. Frank moved from Ohio to Glendale, California with his mother and 2 brothers, Michael and Vincent, where he graduated from Hoover High School. Frank was drafted in January of 1951 and sent to Korea after basic training. He was a scout in the 24th Recon Infantry Division, where he served for five months. Frank was wounded in action, receiving a purple heart. He found work in the title insurance industry, where he spent a 41 year career, and met the love of his life, Narcisa Martinez. Frank and Narcy married in 1957, and raised four children. Frank is survived by his wife of 63 years, Narcy, daughters, Lenore (John Mahler), Laura (Micheal Reese) and Lisa (Robert Darling), and son, Christopher (Helene), brother, Vince, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. This outline of his life is but a shadow of the man he was. He loved to read, especially history. He enjoyed music, especially that of Bud & Travis. He laughed at Blazing Saddles and British TV comedies, MASH and Big Bang Theory. He was honest, fair, patient, and lived the adage, “if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say it at all”. He was a true gentleman. As aptly stated by his son-in-law, Frank was a man all men should strive to emulate. “By the livin’ Gawd that made you, you’re a better man than I am Gunga Din!”
