Carol Ann (Stephenson) Furey

Carol Ann (Stephenson) Furey, 47, of West Sacramento, California passed away peacefully at her home on January 21, 2003. Memorial Services were held on January 24, 2003, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, West Sacramento where she served as a deaconess. She will be interred on May 25, 2024 alongside her brother Roger Stephenson, Jr. and parents Roger, Sr. and Patrica Stephenson.

A California native, Carol was born in Hollywood and raised in Covina. She attended Barranca Elementary, Sierra Vista Junior High and graduated from South Hills High School (Class of ’73). She graduated from Mt. San Antonio College in 1977 then studied Ornamental Horticulture at Cal Poly Pomona.

Carol was incredibly creative and an accomplished artist and florist. She loved flowers, creating crafts, and volunteered as a docent at Sutter’s Fort in Sacramento. Carol was employed as an analyst for the California Department of Justice. Carol will always be remembered as a loving mother, dependable, selfless and kind-hearted.

Carol is survived by her daughter Maureen Furey, brother Brian Stephenson and wife Vicki, and three nieces Lauren, Kris and Jen Stephenson.
