Catherine Marie Spear

Cathy Marie Spear, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Tucson, where she was born, raised, and lived her entire life. She was the devoted wife of Daniel Spear, the cherished daughter of Angel and Constance Butierez, and a loving sister to Daniel and Alissa Butierez. She was also the proud mother of eight children whom she loved with all her heart.

Cathy was a faithful believer and devoted follower of Christ. She lived with a humble spirit, asking little of the world around her. Though she often felt she had little to give, she offered everything she had—her time, her compassion, her strength—to anyone in need. Her generosity was quiet but constant, her love steady and unconditional.

Her life was defined not by what she possessed, but by what she gave. Cathy’s kindness, faith, and selflessness touched everyone who knew her, and her memory will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

May she rest in the peace and light of the Lord she trusted so faithfully.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Catalina, located at 3435 N First Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85719, on November 24, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The funeral service will follow at the same location on November 24, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm.
