Cecilia S. Núñez

Cecilia S. Núñez was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona to Benny and Angelita Sanchez. Cecilia married Ralph Núñez, and together they raised their three beloved daughters.

Cecilia began her career in banking in 1980 and took great pride in the work she did. Retiring recently from Chase Bank after 46 joy-filled years of serving her clients. “She was such a special person. She brightened everyone's day, she was always a positive person. She definitely reached and touched a lot of people.”

During her free time, she loved to travel with her family, cook, attend her grandchildren' s sporting events, and cheer on her Denver Broncos. Cecilia filled any room with love and laughter, and was always ready for a game of Loteria or Dice with her family.

She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law Petra and Refugio Núñez. Cecilia is survived by her husband Ralph, daughters Maricela (Joseph) Loustaunau, Lorena and Elisa. Her grandchildren Luis “Sebastian” and Leilani, parents Benny and Angelita Sanchez, sisters Angelita (Vicente) Razura, Rita (Luis) Leon and Rosalia (Robert) Caballero, brothers-in-law Jose (Linda) Núñez and Richard Núñez, as well as many cousins, tios, tias, comadres and compadres, god-children, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends who will miss her dearly.

Cecilia will always be remembered for being loving, compassionate, kind and for always making others feel welcomed. She was a devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, tia, comadre, nina, cousin, and friend. Above all, her greatest joy in life was her family. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to be surrounded and loved by and she will be greatly missed. Cecilia’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
