We want to express our deepest sympathies to the family and we are so shocked and saddened by the loss of Celina. Our hearts, love and prayers go out to you.~Michele Bernard, William Fox and family

Sister, I will miss you so much. Now my 2 beautiful sisters are in heaven. Give Margaret a hug for me, until all 3 of us meet again. I love you!

Dear Joyce, my condolences to you and the whole family on the loss of Celina. May your heart hold her memory as only a mother can, and may you find comfort among those who had the fortune to love who you brought to this world. Abra

Joyce & Rodney,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family during this difficult time. We will always remember fondly what wonderful neighbors you and the girls were to our family-lots of fun times with the kids growing up. May you be able to find peace and comfort.
With love,
Joe & Renée Sowards

My Lena My LeeLee my Bestie my right handGal… you always knew how to make one smile, laugh and or cry!! We went through so much together always lifting each other up, I gain a sister the first time I met you and still to this day i hold you close as if you were. I think of you all the time and will comment about us to where people around me think I’m crazy but we met in school learning and still through life we taught ourselves what we knew or thought was right… I will forever keep you in my thoughts and prayers and will be here for your little ones if they want but I love you always!!!

I’ll never forget coming over to pick you so that we could cruise around in my car (the only cool thing to do at 16). I’d show up and you’d have music blaring while putting on your makeup and picking out what to wear. The laughter and teasing was constant, and I was so honored that someone as cool as you would ever want to hang out with quiet, timid lil me. I remember thinking I had never in my life met anyone as vibrant as you.

Heaven is lucky to have received an angel as radiant as you my friend. Love and miss you.

The last time I spent time with Celina was bitter sweet, at my brother Jonah’s funeral. It had been years since we hung out but we were able to get caught up in a few hours and enjoy each other’s company reminiscing about Jonah. Now they are back together looking down on us. Celina will always have a place in my heart.

I’ll forever cherish our memories as kids and our awkward teen years. We laughed so much together, Celina. Nobody forever will ever have a laugh that’ll match yours. Your full open mouth while you’d laugh obnoxiously and slap me at the same time, haha. I hear it so clearly. Your raspy voice. Your hyper-ness.

All of the Saturdays I slept over and we’d stay up late watching movies, you putting on your headgear before we’d doze off and waking up to both of us drooling on our pillows the next morning. Eating breakfast and all of us getting ready for church. You always wanting to dress me in your clothes. I remember the smell of your closet. I remember our first day of school together. You were fixing my hair and we’d hold hands and skip. When we were probably about 5 years old, one day we ate a whole jar of chiles (and drank the juice) at nana’s and ended up sharing a toilet together. TMI, for those who are reading, but I know you wouldn’t care because you’d be laughing at it with me. Going to Reid Park and the zoo. Our birthday parties. Going to Breakers and me being shocked you got a tattoo…you were like “I know! Shhhh! Hahaha (slapping me while laughing).”

I have so many more I could go on and on about, but it would take up half the book. I love you so much, Celina. I’ll miss you for the rest of my life and so will everyone else you graced with your love, light and charm. Of everyone I’ve ever lost, losing you just feels diff and has been harder, has hurt worse.

I am focusing on the fact that you know God, your heart was good and you have peace with our family on the other side. Rest, my cousin. See you again, someday.

Joyce, there are no words for this. I am holding you and your family in love and light. We, the community who loves you and your family, who have been touched by you and have felt your family's love, hold you all in love and light.

I remember Celina’s beautiful smile and laughter as she visited with me in my office as a young teen, wanting to know all about my Fashion Promotion & Merchandising degree. I am saddened to see her life cut short in such a tragic way. My heart aches for my dear friend Joyce and all her family. I wish them love and peace.

Joyce & family,
Condolences on the loss of Celina. I remember when her dad would drop her off for visits and she always had her cute little pigtails and her cute ruffle dresses. Joyce, I cannot fathom losing a child, my heart goes out to you. May her memories bring you peace.
