My family & the Jones were at Fort Huachuca, AZ, together for about 9-10 years when I was about3+ years old. We were family from then on. We spent lots of time together & I have great memories of them all. Mr. Jones cooking breakfast after taking the younger kids to Sunday school, holiday meals together, & trips to Tucson for big shopping. The families kept in touch even after we moved away. When I went to college in Tucson I spent my freshman year weekends at their house, he taught me how to drive in his VW beetle, & helped me shop for my 1st car. He took my dad’s place. The last time I saw Mr. Jones was in Dec. 2019 with Amanda & Andrae. He did not remember me but over time & relating family memories he would smile. Our sympathies to those who knew & loved him for the wonderful man he was & the true him will be missed. You have another guardian angel watching over you.

Angela, Cheryl and Andre, our hearts were saddened when we learned of the passing of your wonderful father and our loving brother. We will cherish the memories of his last visit down south and he spent ten days with us. It was such a wonderful time cooking and eating and exploring Ft. Bragg. We send to you our love and prayers.

Charles, I did not meet you until last year, and I remember the sparkle in your eyes when we looked at coins together over breakfast. I will never forget one morning as I'm dropping off oranges for Andrae, that even though you didn't remember me, you were ready to invite me in as you thought I needed help. That was the man I knew you to be, someone who would open your house and heart to help a stranger.
Paw, you will be missed by everyone who knew you, and I know you are in our hearts and with your family wherever they are, no matter if you are here on earth or watching over from Heaven.
