Chelsey Luker passed away peacefully at the age of 29 on the top of Mt. Lemmon on August 23rd. Chelsey will always be remembered for her contagious personality, laugh, as well as her relentless love for everyone who crossed her path. No matter how different they were from her, Chelsey always showed compassion for those around her. But underneath all of her compassion was an overwhelming darkness that would not let go.
Chelsey found her home within the climbing community, alongside her school friends, and within the embrace of her devoted family. Nature was her sanctuary, and she spent countless weekends exploring the rocky terrain of Mt. Lemmon, a place where her adventurous spirit truly thrived. Her parents noted it was truly her second home. Chelsey was also well-traveled and embarked on outdoor adventures across the U.S. and various parts of the world.
Chelsey's impact on our lives is immeasurable, and her memory will forever inspire us to embrace life with the same zest and compassion that she did. Though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Chelsey's infectious personality and laughter was a gift to everyone she encountered. Her compassion knew no bounds, and she had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Her carefree spirit was evident in her joyful antics, like playfully exclaiming "meow" and shouting "I love you!" to all who crossed her path. These gestures were a testament to her desire to spread happiness and laughter wherever she went.
Chelsey is survived by her parents Maria and Randy Luker and her little sister Razilee Luker. Chelsey Graduated from Santa Rita High School class of 2012. She served in the United States Navy and was an Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Fuel).
