Christopher Frederick Falgiano

June 27, 1971September 13, 2020

On June 27, 1971, in the borough of the Bronx in New York City, Christopher Frederick Falgiano was the First born to his proud parents, Liane and Fred Falgiano. Although they moved to San Diego in 1973 Chris always was proud to say he was from the Bronx and a life long NY Yankee fan. He was survived by his parents Liane and Fred Falgiano, his Brother Anthony Falgiano and wife Hillary and children Michael, Isabella, and Olivia and his Sister Nicole Shows and husband Rick and children Abigail and Brock. Chris loved his nieces and nephews and they adored him as well. Chris was also the Godfather of Abigail who was the First born and as a result he had an even more special bond with her. In addition, he was the nephew of Joanne (Falgiano) Mezzone, who was also his Godmother and husband Joe of Stormville NY, Carol (Falgiano) McTiernan and husband Vinnie of Bronxville NY and Debra (Geml) Gardner and husband Rusty of Kansas City Kansas. His cousins all new Chris as the “Dude”. They included Joanne and Joe’s children Christina and Mark, Carol and Vinnie’s children Christopher and Kevin, and Debra and Rusty’s children Weston, Calleigh and Carson. Chris’s also loved his Great Aunt (Tante) Welda Selzer who resides in San Diego, California and her children and Chris’ second cousins Michael, Linda and Lisa Selzer.

Chris went to Bloom Elementary, Our Mother of Sorrows and then went on to Sahuaro High School where he graduated and along the way made countless friends. He had many different jobs and sometimes multiple jobs and was driven to make his mark. Chris had many friends and those of you who were his friend know how we would reach out to help anyone in need. Once he found Graybar he found his niche and loved the job and the people there and they loved him as well. He was always driven with an amazing work ethic. Chris loved music and the movies and if you caught him at just the right time he would quote you funny lines from many of them as well. But most of all his great sense of humor and laughter touched so many lives. We have received countless notes and postings on Facebook from so many people who loved him and there is such a void and silence with him being gone but it is his physical being we will miss. It is now his time with the help of the Good Lord to give us all the strength to get through these times. Besides all the family who are grieving with the rest of us his Goddaughter Abigail was the closest to him. He was so proud of all of his nieces and nephews but he and Abby went on this journey to teach her to drive and the culmination of it all was that she got her license and it was a special accomplishment for the two of them and a bond that would never be broken. The most significant moment came on August 28th when he presented Abby the keys to his car as a birthday gift and in his unique fashion was so proud and a little bit misty.

So now we must all remember the good times and know he is watching over us all and guaranteed that there is lots of smiling above as the “Dude Abides”.

Memorial services will be held at the East Lawn Mortuary on Sunday October 4th at 10:00 AM . In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Phoenix Children’s Hospital or St Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis Tn.

Chris was a friendly neighbor. He always had a cheerful demeanor, a big smile and big wave when he was driving through our neighborhood which was quite often.
His presence and optimistic outward manner will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family.

The Falg,

All the girls at Daglio's we're heart broken to hear of the news. Dude you we're our glue..
So many memories and laughter we all shared... you helped us grow in some very difficult times in our life. I will never forget every special moment I had with you, you touched a part of my heart I felt had never even been opened before. In your honor I will forever rock on to the best hits and forever make wonderful food...with passion.
Love & Miss you Falgie.

This isn't goodbye, just see you later.

I am still in shock. I just can't believe such a kind, caring, happy person was chosen to leave us. I have been doing this for several decades now, and you my friend were the best at it!! You were always helpful, patient and kind. You never had a cross word or mean thing to say. Your customer service was always 100%+++. You always seemed to call when I could use a friendly voice and always knew just what to say to brighten my day. I will miss you. To the Falgiano family, my heart and prayers go out to you. I pray the Lord give you strength to weather this storm.

I have thought about what I would write to you all day and I still feel at a loss for words. You meant so much to me! Not a day went by that we didn’t speak. I will miss your crazy stories. I will miss your gag gifts during our white elephant. I will miss your laugh! I will miss showing you my new shoes and trying to convince you to look at my feet! You are one of a kind my friend and I am so thankful we had these years together. Some days you drove me nuts, but I still loved ya!! I remember when I took Gia into the office and you held her like a football for an hour and typing away with your other hand! Those moment will stay with me for eternity! I will always have you in my heart and never forget you! Please visit me in my dreams and bring a michelada with you! Until we meet again my angel friend!
To the Falgiano Family, your are all in my thoughts and prayers. I hope it brings you comfort to know how many people adored Chris.
With love- Cass

Chris ,
Words can't describe what you mean to me but my immediate thought is (Friend, Family and Brother). I will always carry you in my heart. I'll miss our conversations about work , sports and most importantly life. You always provided thought provoking ideas and unique outlook about all three.
We had the Yankees in common , just remember when they lose they're your team and when they win they're mine that's just the way us New Yorkers roll. We agree they should get rid of Stanton and Sanchez , keep Torres and Frazier. Speaking of Frazier every time he hits a Home Run I'll think of you and smile!!
Well Bro - RIP , Godspeed and make sure you save me some of that Carmichael sandwich I know you are making for the other angels.
One more thing please give Skye and Sophie a big hug for Cheryl and I, we know they are snuggled up next do you in the BIG chair. Love You Falgie!!!
Mr. and Mrs. Falgiano along with the rest of the family , I hope you feel surrounded by much love. The joy Chris brought to our lives will not be forgotten - My thoughts and Prayers.

Chris I remember playing Mahjongg with you and your family every Thursday evening. You were a very caring person. I didn’t get to see you very much because you left for work while I was still sleeping, but I did get to see you picking up your mail. We will miss you as our neighbor and friend.❤️❤️

Chris you were great friend and will be missed like crazy, i will miss all our talks about 80's movies and eating Hogie house on Sunday's at Dunn Edwards and telling you about all the crazy stuff I hit with forklift at Graybar. You were always someone I could go to if I needed to talk about life and things in general. RIP buddy!!
