Christopher John Levandowski

Christopher John Levandowski, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on May 26, 2026, at the age of 67. The youngest of five children, Chris was born on October 10, 1958, at Loring Air Force Base in Maine to Lt. Col. (Ret.) Leonard Leon and Louise Marie (Silkowski) Levandowski.

Growing up in a proud Air Force family, Chris experienced life in Spain, Montana, Arizona, and California, with cherished childhood memories of summer road trips to Medina and Albion, New York, to visit relatives. When his father retired in 1980, the family settled in Tucson, Arizona. While his older siblings eventually moved away, Chris chose to lay his roots in Tucson to remain close to his parents, dedicating himself to helping them and spending time with them. This was especially true during his father's final months, a true testament to his loving and deeply family-oriented nature.

Professionally, Chris spent many dedicated years working as a distributor for Gallo of Sonoma before enjoying a well-deserved retirement at the age of 62.

A proud American, Chris loved his country and his family fiercely. His greatest pride and joy was his son, Adam, a Captain in the United States Air Force. Chris cherished every moment he spent with Adam, his daughter-in-law Ashley, and his beloved grandchildren, Jayden and Jackson.

Chris was a man of profound faith who loved the Lord and found great comfort in reading his Bible. An intellectual and a critical thinker, he delighted in engaging in meaningful conversations about politics, religion, and the world at large. Those who knew him best will remember his witty sense of humor, his unwavering positive attitude, and his remarkable ability to listen. He always had an encouraging word for someone in need and offered wise, steadfast advice to anyone who sought it.

In his free time, Chris loved the outdoors. He could often be found four-wheeling in his truck across the desert rocks, hiking through Sabino Canyon, or riding his bike through the foothills and mountains surrounding Tucson. At home, he enjoyed playing his guitar and was a massive fan of the television show Survivor, a weekly tradition he deeply loved sharing with his father before his passing.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard (2019) and Louise (2014); his older brother, Gary Edward (2003); his grandparents, Adam and Gertrude Lewandowski, and Julian and Helen (Piontek) Silkowski; and his aunts and uncles, Florence and Dick Henicke, Archie and Sophie Lewandowski, Jean and John Jozwiak, and Mary Lou and Bob McGaffick.

He is survived by his son, Adam (Ashley) Levandowski; his grandchildren, Jayden and Jackson; his siblings, Steve (Connie) Levandowski, Richard (Marilyn) Levandowski, and Peggy (Lynn Thomas McDonald) Walker; his Uncle Ed and Aunt Peggy Silkowski; and his nieces and nephews, Amanda (Orlando) Rascon, Jessica (Ben) DelaGarza, Kelly (Ben) Montoya and their daughter Bryce, Kristin Levandowski, and Sarah (Sam) Maggio.

Chris will be laid to rest during a private service on August 12, 2026, alongside his parents and brother at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Medina, New York. He will be deeply missed by his family, who will forever cherish his kind, caring, and loving heart.
