We enjoyed Clara and her husband singing playing the guitar and praying at my daughter's home. Loved seeing their family bible set on a lovely stand in their living room.  I loved her pretty smile.  May God bless and keep her 🙏.   Janine Swan and family.

What a loss.  Clara was responsible for my interest in music, as she and Grant started the kids choir at St. Mary's in Tulsa.  From the both of them, my mom and I became active in the "guitar mass".    I pray that she and Grant find eternal rest, together again.

Clara was a beautiful part of our first two high school years at the Villa. Her dancing was so graceful and brought so much to our religious celebrations. Prayers for her and the family she leaves behind.

Dear Richmond family,

Our hearts are heavy as we join you in mourning the loss of such an extraordinary woman.  To our family, she was so much more than a friend; she was a living example of Christ’s love in action.

We will always treasure her warmth and kindness, but most of all, we will remember how she always showed up.  Her presence was a constant, quiet strength that uplifted everyone around her.  She didn't just speak about her faith—she walked a path that inspired the rest of us to follow.  Even in the face of life’s challenges, her unwavering positivity and faith was a testament to the grace she carried within her.

We take great comfort in the hope of the Resurrection, believing that she is now resting peacefully in the arms of our Lord, reunited at last with Grant.

Please know that our entire family is holding you all in our daily prayers. May the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, be with you during this time.

One of our treasured friends dates together- I will miss you dearly Clara.

A faithful servant, a compassionate soul, and a wonderful friend.  Clara showed us all what it meant to walk in the path of Jesus through her limitless kindness.

She had a heart that grew even larger for children—she adored them all, but her greatest joy and pride were her own children and grandchildren. 

I will always hold our post-Mass coffee dates close to my heart; those sweet moments of fellowship meant the world to me.  I know she is resting in His arms now.  Praying for strength and peace for her beautiful family as they carry her legacy forward.

Clara embraced Mardi Gras as a “Newcomer”from the moment she arrived in New Orleans .  She was so excited to serve as a maid in the krewe’s 1991 carnival ball, and to share that moment with young Valerie.  It is somehow fitting that Clara left us to join Grant in eternity on Mardi Gras day, and that the now grown-up Valerie has chosen to live in the city that care forgot.  We will miss you, dear friend.

Clara was very intelligent, but because she was self-effacing, people may have underestimated her. She was one of three primary grant writers who obtained funding for the first computer classroom for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Kenner, LA. She had a lively intellect, curious about the wonders of creation. Her faith was unshakable and provided inspiration for others. I will miss her terribly - my best friend of 37+ years, honorary aunt to my children, and godmother to our son.
