Craig Lindsey Garfield, devoted husband of Nikki Garfield, beloved father of Danielle Copeland, Isaiah Knight, and Lindsey Garfield, passed to his eternal rest on March 7, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. Craig was the son of David and Lynette Garfield, of blessed memory. He was a loving brother to David, Sharyll, and Kathleen, a loving brother-in-law to Dan Cohn, a loving father-in-law to Taylor Knight and Michael Copeland, a beloved grandfather to Kamdyn, Cole, and Liam, and a treasured cousin to many.
Born on May 18, 1958, in Tokyo, Japan, Craig forged his own path through life. He was a treasured friend to the many he befriended throughout his journey. Craig was much loved for his sardonic wit, his enduring loyalty to his country, his self-taught knowledge of many subjects, and his uncanny ability to disarm you with a handshake and a wry smile. Craig was a special man with a simultaneous love for home and for charting new courses. He loved fiercely.
Craig graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. After some time in the Northeast he settled in Tucson, where he developed a small business as a home inspector. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He loved photographing the desert from his front terrace through all the changes of its seasons. For all his personal accomplishments, Craig considered his family his greatest achievement. He treasured his ability to spend time with each of his children and grandchildren, whether it was taking them to the beach, cheering them on from the sidelines or in the audience, or spending time together to create lifelong memories. Craig’s life was guided by the Holy Spirit, his devotion, his humor, and his immense love for the people and the world around him. He exuded integrity. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and the people who were lucky enough to love him.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 17th, 10:30am, at East Lawn Palms Mortuary and Cemetery, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hands of Hope Tucson (https://www.handsofhopetucson.com/donate).
