

Cynthia Lorraine Pennington, age 67, of Tucson, Arizona was born into eternal life on Monday, November 11, 2024. Cynthia was born July 10th, 1957, in Tucson, Arizona, to Arthur and Fern Pennington, both of whom preceded their daughter in passing. She is further preceded in passing by her grandparents, John and Cora Austin, and her siblings Gary and Patsy. Cynthia is survived by her siblings Kenneth and Francine (Henry), and is further survived by her loving and devoted children Rashad, Brandon, and Courtneigh, her granddaughters Revei and Jaylani, and a host of extended family.
Cynthia was born in Tucson, AZ, and graduated from Tucson High School, and later graduated from Pima Community College, having received an Associates Degree in Social Services. Cynthia devoted herself to the Amphitheater School District, where she tirelessly assisted families in need. Her commitment to providing resources and support for children's successes extended far beyond academic achievements; she aimed to nurture their potential in all aspects of life. She was a true advocate for the youth, embodying the spirit of giving that defined her.
Cynthia's talents were many, but her culinary skills stood out, as she was known for her great cooking, cleanliness, and meticulous attention to detail. However, it was her heart for others that truly set her apart. She actively sought ways to give back, from donating food and resources to various organizations to sewing quilts, beanies, and aprons at Freedom Park Center for the homeless and families in need. Through her craft, she formed a beautiful bond with her granddaughters, passing on not only her skills, but also her values of compassion and generosity.
As we reflect on Cynthia's life, let us remember her spirit of service, her unwavering faith, and her love for family and community. Though she may no longer walk among us, her legacy will continue to inspire us to be givers, to pray fervently, and to cherish the bonds we share with one another.
