Dave was born May 16, 1936, to David and Esther Bottazzi in Chicago, Illinois. His love for helping people was cultivated from an early age through his parents' example.
Growing up with his three sisters, Dorene (Richard) Avicola, Alice (Edward) Strunk, and Pearlene (Darrel) Loker, Dave was known for being a bit mischievous but also for having a big heart.
Dave met his wife, Caroljune, in Chicago during the fall of 1954, and they were married August 4, 1956. Six years later they moved with their two children, Paul and Roberta, to Arizona. Two more boys, Jonathan and Michael, were born in Prescott.
They have been blessed with 15 grandchildren: James (Niki) Bottazzi, Amy (Nathan) Olson, Daniel (Cierra) Bottazzi, Sarah Bottazzi, David (Priscilla) Bottazzi and Kristen (Josh) Nabor; Patricia (Brent) Hesprich, Jeremy (Angela) Baggett, Priscilla (Joseph) Coffey; Olivia (Scott) Morris, Ruth (Isaac) Baxter, Hannah Bottazzi, Andrew, Bethany and Rachel Bottazzi.
There are 18 great-grandchildren: Kay, Nora, Rose (another new baby due in December) Olson; Adam, Evangeline, and Theo Bottazzi; Noah, Savannah and Selah Bottazzi; Ava Nabor; Gabriel, John, and Elsa Coffey; Ella and Amelia Morris; Weston, Hudson, and Emerson Baxter.
In 1975 the family moved once more to Tucson, and Dave started his own drywall business. This business flourished and Southwest Drywall Systems garnered the reputation for high quality workmanship in the Tucson business community.
While Dave accomplished many things in his life, he would probably say he was most proud of his family.
He chose to support, through Voice of God Recordings, a worldwide missionary outreach. Our family prefers that in lieu of flowers a donation be sent to

When Dave retired his sons, Paul (Laureen), Jonathan (Rebekah), and Michael (Kody), took over the family business and continue to run it with the integrity learned from their father with the help of their sister Roberta (Merle) Baggett.
Dave is proceeded in death by his father David S. Bottazzi, his mother Esther Bottazzi, his brother in-law Richard Avicola, and his grandchildren Bethany and Andrew Bottazzi.
Dave will be missed, but we know we will see him again soon.
