

David Frank Palmer was born in Chicago, Illinois on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 1938 to Frank and Helen Palmer. He passed away peacefully on September 27, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Helen Palmer and his sister Joan Butler. He is survived by his loving wife Norma, son Steven, daughter Jennifer, brother Richard, stepchildren Jack, Michael, Steven and Tami. Grandchildren Drew, Dylan,Christopher, Selena, Rachel, Ben and Lena and great grandson Hunter. Dave loved life and lived it to the fullest, always ready to tell a joke of which he had many. He was an alumni of Lane Tech High School in Chicago where he was captain of the speed skating team. He than joined the United States Air Force from 1958 -1963 spending three years in Schuster Berg, Holland with the 32nd Fighter Interceptor Squadron. He moved to Tucson in 1971. He worked in the automobile business . Dave loved the water and had a boat for many years enjoying Canyon and Roosevelt lakes. He had quite the bucket list. He and Norma traveled to many of the national parks, his favorite being Yellowstone. They went to the Carribean, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, France, England, Scotland, Italy, Holland, Belguim, Spain, Switzeralnd, Hungry, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, China, Hong Kong and Africa. Dave was a member of Northwest Community Church. Most important were his family and friends. He was kind and loving and had a heart of gold. He was a treasure to all of us and will be greatly missed by many.
Celebration of his life will be at Northwesr Community Church Ocotber 7 at 10:00 A.M. 505 W. Hardy, Oro Valley, Az. 85704. In lieu of flowers please donate to Tucson Alzheimer's foundation or the Nothwest Community Church.
