My heart goes out to the Hunter family and everyone who loved this beautiful soul, you have suffered a loss no one should have to. I was lucky enough to hear wonderful stories from Marcea about her son and enjoyed getting to know him better through the stories shared at the service. My heart is heavy for your loss.  Many prayers coming your way as you face this difficult time.   Marcea always talked about her boys and how proud she was of them all.  I only knew Daylyn through Marcea’s lovely stories, and he was a fine young man.  May Daylyn Rest In Peace.  He certainly will be missed. I was Daylyn's math teacher at Pima Rose Academy.  He was a hard worker and determined to graduate high school.   He was one of the only students in the school who chose to take an advanced math class (trigonometry) to fulfill his graduation requirement.  Daylyn was an absolute joy, he was funny and intelligent and kind, and I feel blessed to have been able to help him achieve his goals.  I am heartbroken to hear this news and my sincerest condolences go out to his friends and family.

I had the honor of being one of Daylyn's teachers my first year teaching.  He had an infectious smile, great personality and sense of humor, and was very smart.  One of my favorite memories that has stuck with me is not academic but just the kind of person he was. Someone's car broke down near the school when school let out, and I started pushing it.  I think he was skateboarding nearby, and the second he spotted me, he ran over to help.  He was a wonderful young man and will truly be missed but never forgotten.
