

Deborah "Debbie" Pemberton, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2024, among her loving family. Debbie was born October 9th, 1956 in Tucson to Charles R. and Helen 'Louise' Bishop, both of whom preceded their daughter in passing. Debbie is survived by her brothers: Bob ‘Boober’ Bishop (Pennie) and Dave Bishop (Martha).
Debbie is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband William 'Willie' Pemberton.They spent 47 years happily married and are now rejoined in paradise. Together, they raised two wonderful children, their Daughter- Paula Pallanes (Ed) and Son- Andrew Pemberton (Diane ‘Lil Bit’). As well as their adopted daughter Lisa ‘Bean’ (Reysal), all of whom survive their parents. Debbie is further survived by her adopted daughter in-law Deborah, to whom she was like a Mother to. Additionally, Debbie is survived by her beautiful Granddaughters: Alyssa ‘Sissa’ and Alissandra ‘Ali’ Pallanes, and Granddaughters: Kaylee ‘KK’, Lainey ‘Lainers’ Pemberton and Camilla ‘Cam’ Lucio, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Debbie dedicated her life to educating and inspiring countless students throughout her 30 plus years of teaching. She was many students favorite as her passion for teaching as well as her kindness allowed her the ability to connect with many students on a personal level. Debbie was known to go above and beyond to help her students succeed and reach their full potential. Following her retirement, Debbie continued to educate as a substitute teacher and tutor. She was loved in the classroom making lasting impressions on the lives of many.
In her personal time and well into her retirement, Debbie treasured her time spent with her family and friends. From watching her Granddaughters on the softball field to the dance studio, it was obvious to everyone family was her priority. Debbie enjoyed riding her horse- Mojo- all while kicking booty on her penning team and assisting students in FFA for several years. She also loved to watch the beautiful Arizona sunsets during off-roading rides through the desert with family. Traveling in her RV was another passion. With Willie by her side, they visited many destinations together including going to the beach and the lake creating many unforgettable enriching memories with family and friends.
Above all, Debbie cared deeply for her whole family and was the epitome of selflessness as she always put others' needs above her own. A loving wife, Devoted Mother, Nana/Nani, Sister, Daughter and Amazing friend, who lived her life to the fullest, fighting until the very end. Her legacy of love, compassion, selflessness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be forever missed and deeply mourned by all.
A memorial service for Debbie will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 0500-0630 pm at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
