

Deloris Yockey, 90, was called home by God on November 25, 2021. She was born on December 26,1930, in Ohio, daughter of the late Leroy and Mary Fowler. She is survived by her loving family: daughter, Jacalyn (Jacki) Steele (Matt), grandchildren: Jennifer Ann Lynch (Justene Kesterson), John David (JD) Lynch (Leigh Laws Lynch) and great-grandson, Logan Laws Lynch. She also has two sisters: Charlotte Henderhan (William) and Barbara Kent (John). She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John (Jack) Yockey and by her sister, Helen Schlimm.
Deloris was a medical receptionist in Ohio and a realtor in Tucson. She was a woman of unwavering faith and for many years was a Stephen's Minister with Christ Church United Methodist of Tucson. She would go to Devon Gables, various hospitals, people that were homebound and people at the church....wherever she was needed to share God's love.
Deloris lived in Tucson 49 years. She loved to garden, work with flowers, make centerpieces and floral arrangements. She loved music, to cook, make clothing, decorate, entertain and be with her family.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was always ready and willing to help someone and never stopped caring for others. She was a great caregiver for her husband and was a very special woman that will be deeply missed.
