Dennis Lee Cobb

Born on November 8, 1946, in Stockbridge, MI, Dennis was the beloved oldest son of Roland and Frances Cobb. Throughout his life, Dennis was known as a man of simple pleasures. His heart was full of kindness, humor, and generosity, with a quick wit and love for his family and friends.

Dennis joined the USAF in September 1967, serving with great pride for his country until January 1972. Throughout the rest of his career, he wore many different hats, all of which helped provide a quality life for him and his family. Outside of work, Dennis had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found great joy in anything involving nature, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed bowling, dancing, walking, the occasional BINGO win, a good scratch ticket, and talking to his children, grandchildren, and even his great-grandchildren.

Above all, Dennis cherished his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 28 years, Ruth Repsis Cobb, as well as his children: daughter Denise (Brad) Taylor, daughter Jaril (Jeff) Pietras, son Michael (Dory) Cobb, stepson Jayson Naron, and stepdaughter Elizabeth (Keely) Winters; his loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters Linda (Clark) Humrich and Janet (Dave) Titus; and his brother Larry Cobb, along with countless nieces, nephews, and friends whom he loved very much.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Roland Cobb; his mother, Frances Cobb; his brother, Richard Cobb; his stepdaughter, Mary Naron; and grandson, Corbin Parker.

Those who knew Dennis, aka Cobby, aka “my brother, the Fox,” will remember him as a man of faith who believed in the Lord and carried that faith with him throughout his life. He was a dedicated family man who prided himself on being a good husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

They will remember his smirk that could melt anyone’s heart. They will remember that his life was measured not simply by the years he lived, but by the family he loved, the memories he created, the legacy he left behind, and the place he holds in each of our hearts—a place that can never be filled.

A celebration of life will be held in his hometown of Stockbridge, MI, in July of 2027.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that loved ones simply carry forward Dennis’s spirit of kindness and love—and remember: GO SPARTANS!
