Donald Ray Dixon

Donald Ray Dixon passed away on August 7, 2023, at St Joseph’s Hospital in Tucson Arizona. Don was born on October 9, 1934, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Willard and Katherine Dixon. He joined the U.S. military in 1955 and served in the United States Army until 1957.

After moving to Tucson, Don was employed at Sam Levitz Furniture Warehouse in sales until he retired at the age of 77. He was a devoted member of the Zion City Church for many years and enjoyed attending Sunday services with his friends.

Don is survived by his grandsons, Roman (Andrea), Thomas (Candace), great-grandsons, Jordan and Lucas, daughter in law, Alice and nephews, Jimmy and Bobby. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Katherine, his brother, James, and his loving son, Thomas.

The Dixon family would like to extend our thanks to the wonderful care given by the nurses and doctors at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A special thanks and gratitude to Dr. Bijay Sanjeev, who cared and showed so much concern for Don’s well-being.

Memorial Services will be held August 21, 2023, at Funeraria del Angel University, 7 E. University Blvd at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 15950 N. Luckett Rd, Marana, Az.
