Edith Orlena Armstrong
May 10, 1953 – March 7, 2018
Edith (Lena) Armstrong was born May 10th 1953 in Tucson Arizona to Theodore Alexander and Ora Lee Hill. Lena was educated in Tucson Arizona school system, a graduate from Tucson High School. Lena work as a seamstress and in the medical field and retired from University Medical Center after 32 years as a sterilization technician supervisor, after retirement she work part-time in sterilization department at St. Joseph's Hospital. Lena enjoyed bowling, sewing, playing cards, and dominoes. Lena was a active founding member of Hope Community A.M.E. Church, she had a long history of christian faith being baptized at the age of 5. Lena was a loving mother of two children Hyedonna Walls and Yumante Walls. Lena is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Hyedonna Walls, grandson Yumante Walls JR, and brothers Chester Paul and Michael Davis. She leaves to cherish her memories son Yumante (Cheri)Walls, grandkids Teliyah, Jayvon, Yadaia, Deahzhanea, Alexyianna, Zaraya, and Amante Walls. Great granddaughter E'nyleah, siblings Rosie (Donny) Silver, Arthur Davis,Rev. Glenn (Tina) Davis, Oscar (Angela) Davis, Darlene (Michael) Joshlin, Joanne Davis Jackson, Charlene (Johnny) Walker, Edie Chiles' Williams, Theodore D. Alexander, and a host of nieces and nephews relatives and friends. Lena will be forever missed by all. Her services will be held Saturday March 17th 2018 at 11 a.m. at Prince Chapel A. M. E. Church 602 South Stone Avenue Tucson Arizona 85701 the repast will be at the same location following the service.
