

Edward J. Liguori of Tucson, AZ passed away at age 85, on June 21, 2010. He was born in Mt. Vernon, New York to parents, Caesar and Teresa Liguori, and had one beloved, younger brother, Bob. He served with pride in the Navy at age 18 in WWII, as Navy Corpman with U.S. Marines in field conditions for three years. After serving 10 years with NY Air National guard, Ed, "Chief" Liguori, transferred to Tucson Air National guard and retired 25 years later, with a total of 38 years service. Ed loved the Yankees, and went to his first game at age 10. He loved Tucson, his military comrades, and travel by motor home; he was a wildcat fan win or lose. Married for 55 years to Toni, his love, partner and best friend. He is survived by his wife and four children, Albert (Louisa) Liguori, Laura (Edwin) Gambrell, Lisa (Wade) Hughes, Ed (Kathleen) Liguori; and his eight grandchildren, Justin, Alex and Andrew, Ashley, Nathan, Ciera and Damian and Bailey, as well as brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews and many cherished friends. He lived with honor and integrity and had many people who looked to him for his guidance and love. His wit and sense of humor touched everyone he met. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 24th, 2010 at East Lawn Palms Mortuary at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be held on Friday, June 25th at St. Pius X Catholic Church 1800 N. Camino Pio Decimo Tucson, Arizona at 10:00 a.m, Interment will follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.Arrangements under the direction of East Lawn Palms Mortuary, Tucson, AZ.
