Eileen Catherine Ward Haffa

She was born February 23,1935 in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of George F. and Mary Brennan Ward. After working for Pontiac Motors in New York, where she met her husband, Bob, they transferred to Overland Park, Kansas. After Bob's death in 1973, Eileen worked as a Loss Control Operator for Wausau Insurance Company for several years. In 2010, Eileen moved to Green Valley, Arizona to be near her daughter and sisters.

Eileen is survived by her daughter, Christine R. Haffa of Tucson; step son Ronald P. Haffa of Overland Park, Kansas; one brother; four sisters; step grandchild Kristy Haffa, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Haffa, her daughter, AnnMarie, and her brother, George F. Ward.

The funeral services will be held at McGilley & Hoge Johnson County Memorial Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 12:30 PM with Pastor Tom Kinnan of Break Point Church officiating. Gravesite services will follow at Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the ER and ICU staff of The University of Arizona Medical Center, the Santa Rita Nursing and Rehab Center and the EMTs for their efforts and care. Eileen will remain in our hearts forever. She was loved by all who knew her and will be truly missed by all.
