Elizabeth Sarah Coker

Elizabeth Sarah “Betty” Coker of Tucson, Arizona departed this life on Jul 18, 2023, at the age of 92. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born, Oct 12, 1930, and raised in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, the fourth child to George & Katherine (Feck) Schell. It is believed she and her mother moved to California sometime in the early 1950’s, where she met and married Orval Marvin Coker on Sep 7, 1953, in El Monte, California. Five children were born to their union: Debra (Richard) Dunfee, Janice (Randy) Hawkins, Wendy (Jerry) Charlton, Kathy (Timothy) Giba, and Douglas Coker.

She is survived by her children, nine grandchildren, Bonnie (Jeremy) Harness, Christopher Coker, Melissa (Raul) Martinez, Sarah (Brandon) James, Kimberly (Micah) Shonk, Michael Charlton, Stephanie (Dennis) Nyabwa, Kenneth (Kayla) Woodward, & Beverly (John) Harrington, thirteen great-grandchildren, Jeremy “JJ”, Emma, Lillian, Shaylynn, Anthony, Jayson “Harley”, Skyler, Grayson, Kristine, Chelsea, Darian, John Jay, & Hunter (and many nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren).

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings George & Michael Schell, and Katherine (James) Sneed. May she rest in peace.
