Ellen love of tomatoes. Ellen would come for her visit to the Utah Exchange I would give her tomatoes from my garden; she would arrive back home safely with them unharmed. 

Mom,  As your son in law, I will always cherish the moments we had together. The laughs, jokes, or walking arm in arm going into a store and you cracking up saying people probably think I had a sugar momma.  I would do about anything to be able to redo those moments.  I always had a great time hanging out with you and your stories about when you were a child with sister James taking one of the neighbors peaches and how Good they were. I miss the sweet potato pies and all your cooking even though I will try to match these recipes it will never be like yours. it’s been a year since you’ve passed and words can’t describe the pain we have all felt. I will always be there for Jade and Ashley and I promise you that. We all Love and miss you dearly.  Love your son, Randy

I love you momma, I can’t believe that it has been a year since you left this earth.  Words can’t express how much I miss you,  I think about you everyday.  I wish I could talk to you and just give you a big hug. You were the most caring, thoughtful and understanding person.  I regret not spending more time with you. Ellen was one of the finest ladies I have ever known.  She had a way about her that showed caring for others always.   The world has lost a fine person and Heaven will be enriched by her presence. Rest in  Peace El.

I met Ellen (Mom) in January 2014, at my now wife Ashley’s birthday dinner. We went to The Cheesecake Factory, I remember walking her from the car to the front door of the restaurant arm and arm.  We had a very strong bond from that day on. I  married Ashley in October the same year and from then on Mom introduced me to everyone as her son. We had lots of weird looks but, mom would just smile and move on. I swear I was the only person that could make moms coffee perfect the first time.  It took a 10oz cup, creamer, and 6-8 splendas  I usually put 7, and don’t forget that one extra minute in the microwave and 20 minutes later she needs it reheated. I found it hard to say no to you for anything. Mom would call me at least 3-4 times per week and knew I was always there to listen. We talked about issues she dealt with, life, careers and how to advance in them careers.  I LOVE YOU MOM and I can promise I will love and take care of your daughter Ashley and our daughter Jade until my day comes and I meet you again in heaven. I will always Love you!!  Love Always

I had the pleasure to work with this beautiful soul for couple decades.  Ellen’s elegance and beauty was captivating and her kindness was one of a kind.  Ellen was never to busy listening to any concerns I shared with her. She was the Best Learning Facilitator and a valuable coworker, Ellen was a friend, a confidant and her door was always open for me and her internal customers. After Ellen retired from AAFES I missed my friend stopping by my office asking me to make her a cup of coffee. We spent many many hours in my office encouraging each other and sharing ideas to improve the quality of our employees. My dear Ellen Rest In Peace, all your worries are gone now, you are now residing with our Heavenly Father. You will be missed by many friends and coworkers.  My sincere condolences to Ashley and Vernon. 

Vernon,  Ashley and Jade I am so very sorry for your loss,, And know you  will miss her dearly, but you have so many good memories and love in your heart ❤️ she will be with you always, cry when you must, talk of her often, and laugh 😂 often because that is what she would want. Ellen will be missed by many, I worked with her many years and we had loads of fun, whenever I ask her to check something. for me, or we would prepare classes together she would always tell me I owed her lunch 🥗 and many time we went to Olive Garden, she would take that salad 🥗 back to work and I would go over the next day for class, and she would still be eating  on that soggy salad 🥗 LOL 😂 God Bless you and her family. My friend, my sister, I will miss you. You were the first person to show love and kindness to me when I arrived in Tucson in 2003.  What a gentle spirit you were.  The two hour phone conversations, laughing & talking when you would  say " Wait Boo, I need to warm my coffee " & we would laugh out loud. Girl you loved your coffee. Ashley and Vernon my sincere condolences! May God grant you strength  over time.

Ellen always had a positive outlook on anything. From the day I met her when she started my training for AAFES, she always treated me as not another new employee, but as a one of the family and was willing to give a helping hand. I’ll miss her smile and advice about anything that was asked of her. My thoughts and prayers to the Johnson family.
