Elmer Jones was born on August 20, 1935 in Dodge city, Kansas. Elmer went home with the lord Tuesday night on July 21, 2015. Elmer is survived by his devoted wife Judy Jones with whom he gave the best 44 Years of his life. Elmer is also survived by his sister Agnes Del Rio(Gilbert) and several nieces and nephews. he is preceded in death by his father Arthur Jones, and mother Sara Jones. Elmer graduated from Wichita State University, Kansas and served his country in the US Army where he was honorably discharged in 1963. Elmer was an accountant with Chapman/ Dyer Steel which is today, Superior Steel Company. His career span more than five decades. Elmer was a very caring and giving person who gave to a number of charitable organizations, but you would never hear this from Elmer. He loved his job and continued to work right up to the end. A visitation will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary August 2, 2015 at 10:00a.m. followed by a funeral and committal service.
