Estella G. Madrid

Estella Gonzales Madrid, 74 of Tucson, AZ went home with the Lord March 27, 2015. She was born in Dwyer, New Mexico on February 11, 1941 to parents Mike T. Gonzales and Tomasa S. Gonzales both of New Mexico. Estella grew up in Southern New Mexico, where she attended school as a child, her father Mike T. Gonzales worked as a miner and her mother Tomasa a wonderful homemaker to the family. Estella married William "Billy" Madrid and they had two sons. Michael Anthony Gonzales and Arnold Gonzales Madrid. They lived in Las Cruces, NM for several years and she moved to Tucson in 1995. She was later joined in Tucson by her sons and their families. She was very proud of her sons and her grandchildren speaking of them often with great love she told stories of them to anyone who would listen. Estella loved being with her family and enjoyed the company of friends. She had many friends and was an adopted "Nana" to any who needed her. She had the greatest heart and shared love always. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, showering them in carinos, kisses and hugs. Estella believed in sharing God's love with everyone. Estella is survived by her sons Michael A. Gonzales his wife Julie V. Gonzales their four children, Michael Gonzales Jr, Julian Gonzales, Anthonette G. Reckers and Veronica G. Nakano. Grandsons Andrew Garcia, Christopher Madrid, Elijah Madrid and 16 great-grandchildren all of Tucson. Siblings Carmen Regalado, Joanna Grado and Rudy Gonzales. As well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and family in Mexcio. She is preceded in death by her parents. Her husband Billy Madrid. Her son Arnold "Nano" Madrid. Brothers Roberto "Bachie" Gonzales and Lorenzo "Lencho" Gonzales. Her sister Theresa Dominguez.
