Eugene Burruel, age 66, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvaro Burruel and Inez Burruel, Irene Galvez (sister) , Linda Escobar (sister) and Sonia Escobar (niece) . He is survived by brothers William (Sonia ) and Louie (Bertha) and best friend, Mike Rappeport, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Eugene loved camping, traveling, movies (especially Star Wars) and the Arizona Cardinals. He worked at Tucson Airport Authority for 30 years as a Flightline Crew Chief and retired at the age of 50. He also volunteered at Gospel Rescue Mission. He will be dearly missed and remembered.
A memorial service for Eugene will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A graveside service will occur Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
