Eula Irene Gibbs

Eula Gibbs 97 passed away April 1, 2022. Preceded in death by her husband Melvin Gibbs, daughter Karen Gibbs and Granddaughter Cheri Nicholas. Survived by her children Roger (Rozanne), Bonnie (Denny) Nicholas, Melvin (Mary), Shirley (Chuck) Lagneaux also 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren 4 Great Great Grandchildren .

Eula was born in Nebraska the oldest of 12 children. She started working at the age of 13 in the local restaurant and Mercantile. She married young and had 5 children. Eula and her husband Melvin partnered with another couple and bought a Phillips 66 gas station in North Platte NE. Several years later they moved their family to Tucson AZ. They enjoyed Traveling, camping and square dancing. They were life members of the VFW post 549 and members of the American Legion #36, The Southern AZ Chapter of American Prisoners of War and also members of Old Pueblo Square Dance Club.

Eula spent the last few years of her life at San Nicolas Assisted Living where she was known as the Bingo Queen.

A visitation for Eula will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 East Grant Road, #C, Tucson, AZ 85712. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eula's name can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
