

Eunice L. Polk, 94, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly a longtime Lamberton resident, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. Eunice Conrad Polk was born December 25, 1920 to Walter and Laura Conrad in Cottonwood County. She was a long time resident in the Lamberton area. She married Raymond Polk on October 1, 1943 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. WWII began and Ray served in Europe and left very shortly after their marriage. During the wartime, Eunice lived and worked in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When the war ended and Ray returned, they had a farm in Highwater Township where they lived for quite some time, and where they raised their two children. Among her many interests were gardening, crocheting, sewing, baking, taking photographs, and keeping up with other family members and relatives. For nearly 12 years they traveled back and forth between Minnesota in the summers and Tucson in the winters to be with their children, who had relocated in Arizona. Also, during this time they sold their farm and moved into a house in Lamberton. In 1996 they moved from Lamberton to be permanently in Tucson. They both enjoyed the beautiful weather and made many friends and enjoyed traveling, seeing the many sights of the Southwest and being with their family. Ray passed away in 1999 and Eunice continued to live on her own for many years in the Tucson area. She is survived by her children, Sharilyn (Shari Polk) Martin; and (Gaylin) Kent Polk; Daughter-in-law Susan Polk & their son (Grandson) Jared Polk. Sister: Lois Vik; Brother: Noel (Joann) Conrad.Preceeding her in death were her husband Ray, her parents, brother Orlin Conrad and brother Dennis Conrad. Services will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 1 pm. Funeral services at 2 pm, with Burial to follow.
