Eva J Smith

Survived by her son, Stewart J Smith, his spouse Patricia Schumann, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by husband Orin D Smith, parents Emedio and Adelina Sansoni, her sister Vincenza, and brothers Anthony, Armand, Alfred, Robert.

Eva proudly served in the US Navy during World War II as a WAVE. Upon her discharge in 1947 she embarked on her career working in personnel records for the US Navy and the Davis-Monthan 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG). Upon retiring from the civil service she worked for Hughes Aircraft.

Eva was an active member of the Desert WAVES (Unit 13) and supporter of the Pearl Harbor Survivors group. Eva was an avid bowler participating in many senior leagues and enjoyed following UA Basketball. She was a member of the St Joseph Catholic Parish. She also volunteered at St Joseph’s Hospital.
