Felix G. Valdez, Jr. 82, of Tucson, AZ went peacefully home to the Lord, January 24, 2015. Words could not express the nature of such an amazing man. From his light-hearted, teasing smile to his gentle eyes and warm heart, he exemplified all that a man should strive to be. Felix was a life-long member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1200, serving as Grand Knight. He was known as Coach to his boys, was an avid traveler, Bingo caller, and the greatest of UofA fans. As a devout Catholic he believed strongly in the power of prayer and the Rosary, which gave him comfort in his final days. He married the love of his life Helen, with whom he spent 64 beautiful years. He was a proud father of six children, 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren which adored him and he adored back with everything he was. He is survived by his true love, Helen; children, Julia (Ray), Bert (Toni), Sylvia (Clarence), Eleanor (Karl), Felix III (Margaret) and Arthur; brothers, Arsenio (Norma), Elias and Manuel. Services are scheduled for Friday, January 30, 2015, Viewing 10:30 a.m., Rosary 11:00 a.m., Mass 11:30 a.m. all at St. Ambrose Church, 300 S. Tucson Blvd. with graveside to follow at South Lawn Cemetery
