Fernando met his beloved wife Rosa Gila Amador Tolano, and they were married on July 27th, 1974. They were married until her passing in 2020, and he rejoins her now in looking over their family. Fernando is survived by his daughters and son, Monica Garza, Anna Rodriguez, Fernando Amador Jr., Mayra Amador, and Zuilma Yanez. He is further survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his sisters and brother.
Fernando was many things in his life, a man of steady character and great strength. He is lovingly remembered as a cowboy, and while his first passion was spending time with and nurturing his grandchildren, he greatly loved his horses, chickens, and dogs.
Fernando's memory will be cherished in the hearts of his devoted children, and he will be remembered by all those who had the fortune to know him in life.
